Five pages, written with you
Usually home, what you do, about, the one thing you most want people to book or buy, and contact. We settle the five on the call. I write the drafts from what you tell me and you mark them up in your own language.

Web design, Ocean Springs
Most small businesses do not want a web design project. They want a website that exists, stays up, says the right thing, and changes when the hours change. So that is what this is: $999 to design and build it, $199 a month to look after it, and you call us when something needs to move.
Usually home, what you do, about, the one thing you most want people to book or buy, and contact. We settle the five on the call. I write the drafts from what you tell me and you mark them up in your own language.
You are not choosing template fourteen and swapping the colours. The layout follows what you sell and what a customer needs to do next, and it is drawn at phone width first, because that is where most of your visitors are standing.
Send me what you have. Phone photos are usually fine once they are cropped, straightened and compressed properly, and that is my job rather than yours. No stock photograph of a smiling stranger in a hard hat goes on a site I build.
The panel that appears beside a search for your name, with your hours, your address, your photographs and a link pointing at the new site. In my opinion it is the highest-return half hour of the entire build for a local business, and it is routinely skipped.
A written title and description for every page rather than generated ones, headings in a real order, clean addresses, a sitemap, and images compressed so the page loads on a phone with two bars. Not an SEO retainer, the groundwork, included.
The domain stays registered in your name and the content is yours. You get one page of plain-English instructions for the things you will want to change, and my number for everything else.
What you do, who buys it, what you want the site to make happen, and what you already have, a logo, photographs, a domain, an old site. You get the flat price on that call. If I think you do not need me, you get that on the same call.
Drafts, from what you told me, in your voice rather than an agency's. You have them the same day. Most people change three or four sentences and leave the rest, because it is their own language read back to them.
The pages go into the real site: real layout, real photographs, real navigation, real links. Not a picture of a website in a design tool that somebody still has to construct afterwards. What you look at on Wednesday is the actual thing.
A private link to your own site. Open it standing in your shop. Show it to your spouse. Send me the list, that photograph is wrong, that price changed, nobody calls it that around here, and the list gets done.
Your changes go in. Then the parts you should never have to think about: the certificate, redirects from the old addresses if there was an old site, the sitemap, the Google Business Profile, and analytics with a consent banner if you want them.
The domain points at the new site, anything old is redirected rather than abandoned, and I check the whole thing on a phone, a tablet and a desktop before telling you it is done. Then you get the notes page and my number.
Say so on the call and I will quote the whole thing then, flat, before anything starts. Five is what a small business almost always needs and more than most of them use. What will not happen is starting at five, adding pages as we go, and handing you an invoice larger than the number you agreed to.
Both are ordinary. If you need one, I will tell you what it costs at a registrar and you buy it in your own name, I do not want to own your domain and you should not want me to. If you have one somewhere and cannot remember where, a public lookup usually finds the registrar in about a minute.
No. You have to talk for half an hour. I write the drafts from that call and you correct them, which takes most people twenty minutes. The ones who insist on writing it all themselves usually take three weeks and arrive back at my draft with two words changed.
Nothing you have to do. The site sits there and works. If you would rather somebody kept it patched, backed up and edited without you having to ask twice, that is the care plan at $199 a month, and it stays optional forever.
Send it over. I will tell you honestly which parts of it are genuinely good and which parts are a fashion that will look dated in eighteen months, and then we build yours to do your job while borrowing the good parts. Copying a competitor wholesale is how you end up looking like the second one.
Yes, for the first ten Coast businesses, and then it is not. Same five pages, same week, same person building it. You are taking a chance on a shop that opened this year, and that is exactly what the difference is for.
Half an hour on the phone and you will know what it covers and roughly when it goes live. If a website is not what you actually need right now, we will tell you that instead.
