The web address itself
Even if you are embarrassed by it. Especially if you are embarrassed by it. I need to look at the actual thing rather than a description of it, and I have seen far worse than yours this month.

Get in touch
A five-page site for a local business, a rescue off a dead platform, or a custom application with a database behind it, the first step is the same. Thirty minutes on the phone and you will have a real number and an honest opinion, including the version where the opinion is that you should not spend anything at all.
It goes straight into the site itself, where I read it. There is no drip sequence, no sales team, and nobody will telephone you about search engine packages because you filled in a form on the internet. If you would rather not type it out at all, the number is below and it rings the same person.
What you do, who buys it, and what is wrong with what you have. If you gave me a web address I will have already opened it and read its source before we speak, so you are not paying for the part where I catch up.
Not a proposal deck three weeks later. One number, what it includes and what it does not, put in writing afterwards so you have it. Then you go away and think about it for as long as you like, and it does not expire on Friday to hurry you.
Or skip the form
A sentence is plenty. What you do, where you are, and what is annoying you about your website. I would rather have thirty seconds of it today than a carefully written page next month.
Even if you are embarrassed by it. Especially if you are embarrassed by it. I need to look at the actual thing rather than a description of it, and I have seen far worse than yours this month.
Whether you can get into the site itself, into the hosting, and into wherever the domain is registered. I do not know is a completely normal answer and is itself useful information, it tells me which of the three we start with.
Every website has a list. Tell me the top of yours. It is usually the thing quietly costing you money, and it is usually not the thing a designer would have picked out first.
No. Almost everybody arrives with a symptom rather than a specification. Nobody can find us. I cannot change my own opening hours. The person who built it has stopped replying. Any one of those is enough to start a useful conversation.
Nothing, and there is no version of this where a charge appears later. The worst outcome for you is thirty minutes of straight advice about your website from somebody who has been doing it for 15+ years, and then you never hire me.
I say the number out loud on the call so you are not waiting on an email to find out, then put it in writing so you have it. Flat, itemised in plain English, and with no deadline attached designed to make you decide before you are ready.
Yes. Not everything is a job. If you send a question I can answer in two lines, you will get two lines back and no invoice, and I will not add you to anything.
Read what each service actually involves, or look at how we price before you talk to anyone. Both are more than most of this trade publishes.
