Where the job is the same every time, the number is right here and you should not have to ask for it. Where it depends on what we find, someone else's code, an accessibility audit, an application nobody has built yet, a printed number is a guess dressed up as a promise. Those get quoted, and looking costs nothing.
No contract on the monthly plans, stop any month and the site, the domain and the content go with you.
Four things we will not put a number on. Custom applications, development work, accessibility audits and rescues all depend on something nobody has seen yet, your code, your templates, what a vendor left behind. Anyone printing a price for those is printing a starting bid. We look first, free, then quote a fixed number.
The scope and the number are agreed in writing. We do not bill by the hour and you do not get a surprise invoice.
The call, and the assessment of whatever you already have, cost nothing and are yours to keep whether or not you hire us.
Broken into stages, each with its own number and something working at the end. You never commit the whole budget on faith.
If you want something new mid-build you get a number for it first. It does not quietly appear on the bill.
Ours is $999 to build and $199 a month to look after, and that is the whole of it. Agencies quoting $8,000 for the same five pages are charging you for an office, a sales team and project managers who bill for sending email.
Because a number for work on a system nobody has opened yet would be a guess. Two rescues that look identical from the outside can be a two-hour job and a two-week job. We look first, free, and then give you a fixed figure.
Your advertising budget, which you pay direct and we never mark up. Stock photography if you want it. Anything that turns the site into an application, logins, bookings, inventory, which is a different service and quoted separately.
It is not open-ended, it is unquoted until we have looked. Plenty are small. The reason no number sits here is that a headline figure would scare off the people whose job is an afternoon, and if yours is an afternoon, you will be told so.
Not from us, and be careful what is. A cheaper site is usually a template you cannot edit, hosting you do not control, or a developer who disappears. All three cost more later than the difference saves now.
No, and nobody honest would bundle them. Ad spend goes straight from your card to Google or Meta. We never touch it, never take a percentage and never mark it up. You set the budget and you can stop it yourself.
Hosting, the domain and certificate, security updates, daily off-site backups, uptime monitoring, unlimited content edits done by us, and a person who answers. No contract, stop any month and the site is still yours.
A flat price is only worth something if the work is. Northeastern University's entire public web portfolio of 100+ campus and marketing sites, AudioEye, Claire's and Stew Leonard's, with the screenshots, my own career, not a client list.
A page that will not do what you want, a form that loses enquiries, a checkout nobody finishes. We work on the site you own rather than quoting you a replacement for it.
Someone built it, then left, or it never quite got finished. We read the code first and tell you honestly what it would take, including when the answer is that it is not worth it.
Many pages, several audiences, staff who all need to publish without breaking anything. Governed sites with real content operations behind them, the kind universities and national retailers run.
Databases, logins, bookings, inventory, reporting, and the connections between the systems you already pay for. Software that happens to live in a browser.
All of it is quoted, because a number for work nobody has looked at yet is a guess. Looking costs nothing, and you get a fixed figure for a defined scope before anything starts.
A fixed price agreed in writing before the work, and the code and accounts in your name at the end of it. Scope changes get their own number rather than appearing on the bill.
Tell us what the thing needs to do. You will leave the call knowing what it costs and how long it takes, whether or not you hire us.
