Hosting and the certificate
The site lives on my platform. The https certificate renews itself, and if it ever does not, I am the one who notices. You never get an email from a hosting company you had forgotten you had an account with.

The care plan
$199 a month covers hosting, security, daily backups, unlimited content edits, and a short monthly look at what your numbers are doing. No contract, no notice period, and the site stays yours whatever happens.

Patched on my side, backed up every day, and restorable. The point of a backup is not that it exists somewhere. It is that somebody has actually restored one and knows how long it takes to do it again.
New hours, a changed price, a photograph of the new truck, a page for the thing you started selling in March. You email me and it is done. No ticket system, no per-change fee, and no quote for a paragraph. This is the reason most people take the plan.
When something is weird you get me, not a queue. The contact form has gone quiet. My email has stopped. Somebody says the site looks broken on their phone. Those are the actual calls, and they are all included.
Half an hour on what people did on the site last month, which page they leave from, what they searched to arrive, and one thing worth changing. A conversation, not a PDF you file without opening.
Broken links, pages that have got slow, titles that drifted, and the Google listing that a helpful stranger has suggested an edit to. Checked deliberately rather than assumed to be fine.
If what you want is a different website, that is the new build at $999 flat, and we will tell you plainly when a rebuild is the honest answer rather than quietly redesigning under the plan.
If you stop, you get a full export of everything and the domain was in your name the whole time. Nothing is held back to make leaving awkward, because a business that keeps clients by locking the door is telling you what it thinks it is worth.
No ads, no social posting, and no claim about where you appear in a search result. This is your site kept alive, kept current and kept honest, plus somebody who reads the numbers each month and tells you plainly what they say. If the marketing is what you are actually short of, that is The Growth Plan and it is a separate $750 a month on top of this one.
One line is enough. Closed the fourth. New price on the deck package. Take my old business partner off the about page. It goes in, and you get told when it is live rather than having to go and check.
Updates applied, backups verified rather than assumed, the certificate renewed, uptime watched, and the log of who has been trying what read occasionally. You will never see any of this happen, which is rather the point of paying for it.
Half an hour on the numbers and one recommendation. Sometimes the recommendation is to change nothing this month, and you should be suspicious of anybody who never says that to a paying client.
A form that stopped delivering, a page a customer says looks wrong, an email that bounced back. You call one person, who already knows how your site is built and does not need to be brought up to speed first.
No. A site I build is finished and yours on the day it goes live, and it will carry on working with nobody on it at all. The plan exists for owners who would rather not be the person who eventually notices that the certificate expired three weeks ago.
Then do not take it. Email me the edit and I will quote you for the edit. The plan earns its keep for a business that changes something most months; it is poor value for a site that has not moved since the day it launched, and I would rather say that than take the money.
Sometimes. It depends what it is built on and how much has already been done to it. If the underlying structure is sound, the plan can cover it. If it is the kind of site that breaks whenever anyone touches it, that is a rescue first, and putting a maintenance plan on top of it would just be renting you the problem.
You get a full export of everything, pages, content, images, and the domain was registered in your name from the start. Nothing is withheld to make leaving painful. That practice is one of the main reasons this business exists.
No, and that is deliberate. One price, published on this page, the same for everybody, so you never have to wonder whether the business before you paid less for exactly the same work.
Looking after a website is not the same as marketing one. Marketing adds posts, ads, your Google listing and a real split test running on your own site, for $750 a month on top of this. Take it later, or never.
Start the month it suits you, stop the month it does not, and take the whole site with you either way.
